The Main Street Academy

Changing the world, one site at a time…

Our Mission
Who Are We?
TMSA’s Governance Board Members live, work or have business interests in the Tri- Cities area of Atlanta. A dedicated group of concerned citizens worked diligently for four years to bring a new charter elementary school to the community. The Main Street Academy, a Charter School, is a public K-8 elementary school located in Historic College Park and easily accessible to residents of East Point, Hapeville, College Park & South Fulton County. TMSA is a Fulton County School.

The school upholds a uniquely administered rigorous academic curriculum, and parental involvement is required. The school is run locally with the help of our partner, EdisonLearning, a leading provider of educational services to schools, districts and states.

Please feel free to join us for our Board meetings which take place the last Thursday of every month. Please refer to our
calendar for location and time.

Carol Shaginaw, David Shaginaw, Mollie Mayfield, Melissa Thomas, Dr. Karen Sullivan, Carolyn Santos, Lauren Rife, Mikey Brayton, Tina Donaldson, Anne Goehring, and Stacy Kerber.

While the Fulton County School system retains ultimate authority over approved charter schools, it is a FCS practice to request that parents work with Principal and/or Administration through the processes identified in this charter contract to resolve school-level issues. Fulton County Schools respects the autonomy of the charter school and will not become involved in school level matters unless there is a serious issue such as a health or safety concern, federal or civil rights compliance issues, or evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
