Our Mission
Who Are We?
All of us either live, work or have business interests in the Tri- Cities area of Atlanta. A dedicated group of concerned citizens has been working for almost 3 years to bring a new charter elementary school to the community. The Main Street Academy, LLC has submitted a 2009 start-up charter petition to the BOE and is now working to build on the tremendous support the Tri-Cities region has shown for this school. The Main Street Academy, a Charter School, will be a public K-8 elementary school located in Historic College Park and easily accessible to residents of East Point, Hapeville, College Park, & South Fulton County.
The school will uphold a uniquely administered rigorous academic curriculum, and parental involvement will be required. The school will be run locally with the help of our partner, EdisonLearning, a leading provider of educational services to schools, districts and states.
